A motorcycle ride turned into catastrophe on a recent Sunday. New York authorities indicate that the auto accident involved a car and two motorcyclists. The incident resulted in the loss of life for a 45-year-old man.

Authorities conducted a preliminary investigation into the accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon when the motorcyclists were traveling near the intersection. According to officials, the crash took place when one of the motorcyclists, for unknown reasons, crashed into the back of a vehicle operated by a 29-year-old man. The impact caused the man’s vehicle to careen into the left lane, which resulted in another motorcycle crashing into the vehicle.

Medical crews transported the driver of the vehicle to the hospital, but the exact details of his condition have not been reported. One of the motorcyclists was taken to the hospital, where he’s being treated for critical injuries. Sadly, the other motorcyclist died as result of his injuries. Authorities are asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate this tragedy.

The auto accident left one man dead and two others suffering from injuries. As authorities continue to investigate, they are likely working to determine who caused the crash. Either party involved may be able to pursue civil matters depending on the outcome of the investigation. The driver of the vehicle may have the right to pursue a personal injury claim against one of the motorcyclists as an appropriate legal remedy to recoup damages. The injured motorcyclist and/or the deceased victim’s family may have similar rights under New York law.
