A car accident is usually caused by the negligence of another driver. One such car accident occurred on a recent Monday morning, which left one dead and two injured. Now, New York authorities have charged a driver with manslaughter and driving while intoxicated in this case.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the female driver of an Infiniti sedan was traveling on the roadway with a passenger in her vehicle. She was allegedly operating while under the influence when, all of a sudden, the driver drove into the back of another vehicle. After the initial impact, the Infiniti flipped over. Medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the passenger in the Infiniti and the driver of the other vehicle to area hospitals for treatment.
The passenger in the Infiniti was later declared dead at the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle is expected to be okay, but the exact details of her condition have not been released. Authorities charged the driver of the Infiniti with driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
